The second stage towards becoming a legal executive, set and assessed at honours degree level.
Those who have studied law at Certificate and Diploma Level and who wish to progress to the next level of study/career.
- Guildford College is a Chartered Institute of Legal Executives accredited study centre
- Studying for CILEX exams can result in an equivalent degree level qualification and students qualifying in this way are exempt from the training contract stage of becoming a solicitor
- All tutors have professional qualifications as barristers or solicitors or Chartered executives
How you'll learn and be assessed
Lectures, discussions, PowerPoint presentations, quizzes and tutorials. Many of the subjects are available by blended learning requiring attendance at College once a half term with lectures delivered on line and by MP3. Homework: At least the same amount of time out of the classroom as in it (a minimum of 3 hours a week).
Progression
You can either qualify as a Chartered legal executive and/or go on to take more Level 6 exams at the College and qualify as a solicitor. We offer the Graduate ‘Fast Track’ Diploma which offers a route to become a Graduate Member of CILEX and a qualified lawyer.

Level 3 CILEx qualification.

The course is manual based. You will be expected to join ILEX and buy the materials from there.
