This City & Guilds qualification will allow students to develop and practise the knowledge skills and behaviours required for a career in the construction industry
You’ll benefit from industry-trained tutors with vast experience as Plumbers, and well-equipped industry-standard workshops, supported by a team of technicians.
All 16-19-year-olds on full-time programmes will be required to retake GCSE English and maths—if they have not already attained the equivalent of a GCSE grade 4 (C) in these subjects. This applies to every year of their course until they achieve the required grade 4.

- Above ground drainage
- Copper pipework
- Plastic pressure pipework
- Low-carbon steel pipework
- Installation, repair and maintenance of plumbing systems
- Plumbing science
How you'll learn and be assessed
This course is a mixture of theory and practical hands-on experience.
Homework: Self-study is expected, and homework will be set at the tutors’ discretion, with materials available on the College VLE.
Progression
You could progress to a Level 2 City & Guilds Plumbing course or an apprenticeship.
Entry requirements
You need to have a minimum of 3 GCSEs at grade 2 including Maths and English language
Additional information
You will need safety footwear and normal study equipment.
A portfolio is supplied that needs to be completed by the candidate, with their practical and theoretical evidence.
