This plumbing course allows candidates to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or career progression in the plumbing sector.
All 16-19-year-olds on full-time programmes will be required to retake GCSE English and maths if they have not already attained a GCSE grade 4 in these subjects.
Please note: This qualification does not make candidates fully qualified plumbers. Additional training will be required.

How you'll learn and be assessed
Practical and theory lessons take place in our well-equipped industry-standard workshops, led by our industry specialist lecturers. You may be required to do some study outside of the hours spent in college.
Progression
You could progress to:
- Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Plumbing and Heating
- Level 3 Diploma in Plumbing Studies
Entry requirements
You will need 4 GCSEs at grades 3 or above including English language and maths AND an achievement on a relevant Level 1 course.
Additional information
The theory classes are formal lessons followed by BPEC online exams in stages. For practical work, overalls and protective footwear are required.
It is highly recommended that students purchase books to assist in their studies – from a reading list provided at the start of the course.
