This City & Guilds qualification will allow students to develop and practise the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for a career in the construction industry.
You’ll benefit from industry-trained tutors with vast experience as Electricians, and well-equipped industry-standard workshops, supported by a team of technicians.
All 16-19-year-olds on full-time programmes will be required to retake GCSE English and maths—if they have not already attained the equivalent of a GCSE grade 4 (C) in these subjects. This applies to every year of their course until they achieve the required grade 4.

How you'll learn and be assessed
This course is a mixture of theory and practical hands-on experience.
Homework: Self-study is expected, and homework will be set at the tutors’ discretion, with materials available on the College VLE
Progression
You could progress on to City & Guilds Level 2 in Electrical Installations or an Apprenticeship.
Entry requirements
At least 4 GCSEs at grade 2 (grade D) or above, including maths and English Language, as well as a commitment to the course.
These requirements may be assessed case by case at the discretion of the curriculum staff.
Additional information
You will need safety footwear and normal study equipment.
A portfolio is supplied that needs to be completed by the candidate, with their practical and theoretical evidence.
