The level 2 Diploma in Barber consists of 9 mandatory units and 2 optional units. The course consists of practical assessments carried out on clients and online multiple-choice theory assessments.
You will study the following:
- Working in the industry
- Health and safety
- Client consultation
- Shampooing and conditioning
- Cutting and styling mens hair
- Colouring and perming mens hair
You will be expected to carry out work experience and home study as part of the course.
On successful completion of this course, you will be awarded a full Level 2 Diploma.
Progression
On successful completion of this course, you could progress to Level 3 Hairdressing.
Entry requirements
You should have GCSE English Language at grade 3 or above and GCSE maths at grade 2 or above. If you do not have grade 4 in English or maths and you are under 19 years of age, you will be required to resit them as part of the programme.
